I mean seriously

I'M NOT A 1D FAN. God knows sanity of this entire species will cease to exist before I even watch a One Direction music video on Youtube. I don't hate them, and frankly they have some really catchy songs, but I can't even will myself to listen to them, much less like them. Mej redundant or overlapping but yeah.

Lately there's this thing about, I think, the group having a tour in Manila and all those crazy, spoiled kids turning to their parents, friends of their parents, pretty much anyone that can get them in that ticket line. They're willing to stand in that line for twelve hours with thousands of other crazy, spoiled kids, who, in a sense, they are competing for tickets, and pay ten grand to see five British (idek) guys go up the stage, dance a choreographed dance and lip sync. And since not all can get VIP tickets, or even just gen ad tickets, some end up on the gutter or the mall restroom, crying and cursing about how life is unfair, while their mothers pick a fight on every security guard. On the other hand, those who DO get tickets, go home or something, crying and cursing about how life is so good, while their mothers proudly make her friends envious that her precious angel princess is finally having her dream come true.

OH SO ANO PAKE MO?

FIRST OF ALL, LET ME JUST SAY I'm writing this post because I'm freaking very annoyed and frankly, kind of fed up with those self-righteous bigots I call Facebook friends. I mean really, do I look like I haven't had my dose of douchbaggery for the day?

These kids are willing to spend a lot of cash for a  show.

OH EH ANO NGAYON?
They have money. Fucking deal with it. It's their money and they should be able to spend it anyway they like.

It's not their money, it's their parents'.

Pake mo? These parents want their kids to be happy, as any parent. They'd work hard, even borrow money so they could save enough cash in time for that show. And if you judge that these people are being stupid and arbitrary for "borrowing money just to watch a show", what is your problem about any of it? They want to watch the show, they want to feel happy and good about themselves, even feel like they're fulfilling their dreams.

Bakit, yun na ba pangarap mo? Makanood ng VIP na 1D concert?

If these kids want to believe that their life will be so fulfilled or that their dreams will come true or that all will feel right about the world ONCE THEY GO TO THAT SHOW, who are you to judge them for being shallow and stop them? Sure, it may sound stupid, pero ano nga bang problema mo dun? Do they like, owe it to you to be saved from their whims? Do you really feel a responsibility towards these kids, make sure they don't spend 10k on a concert? Kailangan ba lahat sila ang pangarap eh makatulong sa kapwa at maipabagsak ang kurakot na gobyerno, tulad mo?

At least I'm doing something productive. Spending thousands on a single night is not just wasteful, it's stupid and pointless. Eh kung idinonate nalang nila yan. What if half of ticket sales go to calamity victims? Para yang iniiyakan nyo magkaroon naman ng silbi.

Again, ano bang pake mo? I'm just gonna ignore the fact that you describe what you're doing (which, by the way, is mainly posting whatever popular issue on Facebook and commenting how everyone's efforts towards resolving it are much lesser than yours) as productive. Something "wasteful, stupid and pointless" is relative. To these kids, going to that concert could mean the world. However, some people (actually, a lot of people) think what you're doing is "wasteful, stupid and pointless" so I guess it balances out.

Self-righteous bastard. It's not that I don't care about calamity or war victims. But is it really that hard for you to let these kids enjoy what they want without their morals being questioned? Also, that suggestion is kinda stupid because, then, how would you pay the people who worked hard to put up the show? Would that mean ticket prices would go higher? But then, you'd complain more and say that 75 percent of ticket prices should go to whatever self-righteous idea you have in mind. Then again, how would you pay the producers? For someone who shows off as politics and economics expert and speaks a lot about how the government is screwing with our taxes and all other economy stuff, you're pretty stupid.

These kids want to go to the concert. Deal with it.
Their parents would rather save cash to pay for tickets instead of tuition. Deal with it.
They are crying their eyes out because they weren't able to go and they feel like the promise of a happy life is closing its doors. Deal with it.

It may look stupid to you, but who the hell are you to judge that they ARE? It's not their problem that you don't have those kinds of dreams or aspirations. It's not their problem that when you see the world, all you see are people cheating on you, "wasting" money while not putting out for YOUR cause. Well guess what, WE think YOU'RE wasteful, stupid and pointless.

Di rin nila kasalanang wala kang trabahong matino, therefore walang pera, therefore pag nagconcert naman ang band na gusto mo eh wala kang pambili ng ticket.

Again, idgaf about 1D and their fans. Maybe I do know and maybe I don't, but if these kids believe that going to this concert means the world to them, who the hell are you to question it, much less trap them in a moral dilemma?

I'm going to stop writing now kasi naiinis lang ako lalo. Puta naman kasi. ANO BANG PAKE MO
