So, as a requirement for my Phil Lit class, we were asked to read the selection Claudia and her Mother by Rolando Tinio. It was originally a play, so the text was long and detailed. There were three characters, Nora, Ed and the Mother (yep, Claudia's not there haha)
Anyway, despite the reaalllyyyy long text, I managed to finish lol. I actually liked it. Here are my two favorite quotes from the play:
"Funny thing about life, darling. All your life you look for somebody who'd be good enough, really good enough, for you... and then he finds out, why.. he finds out you're just not good enough for him." -Ed
"You cannot go around changing people, hija. You must also let them change you. Some people, they are best left the way they are. They have their own way of life and you make them unhappy if you change them. It may not be the best thing, the way they are, but what can you do?" -Mother
